Product Manager + Developer, 2013-2017

While at Gehl, I product managed and co-engineered People Data – a web platform for the synthesis and visualization of public life data from over 70 cities (and counting!) around the world. The tool was used to automate the organization’s internal workflow and provide clients with an interactive portal through which to explore and contribute data themselves. The public life database includes pedestrian/cyclist volumes throughout the day, age and gender makeups, and stationary activity profiles in public spaces integrated with other data sources like the US Census. The app uses d3.js for charts, Leaflet + Mapbox for maps, Javascript, Python, and a PostgreSQL database.
